So, oatmeal breakfast turned out to be the most effective in people who are overweight because they consumed 50% fewer calories for lunch. The other two groups were already hungry three hours after they had breakfast. The oatmeal will remain in the stomach longer, while corn flakes quickly raise blood glucose levels and automatically cause a sudden drop soon after.

Numerous other studies have found that oatmeal is the best breakfast because it encourages weight loss and reduces caloric intake by 31-50%. What is more, the effects of that oatmeal are long-term.
