Use strawberries and sodium bicarbonate
The combination of strawberries and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is a natural tooth whitener.
You can prepare it with 8 strawberries and half a teaspoon of baking soda. Mix them and prepare a paste.
Between your teeth, put cotton piece to bite on and then apply the paste over the teeth. Rub the paste a little to whiten the teeth.
The stains caused by coffee, tea and smoking can be eliminated by the baking soda because it acts as an abrasive.
Strawberries include ascorbic acid which can eliminate the stains on teeth too and make them shine. Consuming hard cheeses can keep teeth white and healthy too. Cheese neutralizes plaque acid because the fermented dairy product increases alkaline in the mouth and forms protection around teeth.
Brush before breakfast
It is better to brush teeth before breakfast, not after that.
Consuming acidic or sugary food for breakfast followed by brushing teeth can only rub the sugar into the teeth and wear away the enamel.
If you want to brush teeth after breakfast, wait an hour to give your saliva a chance to neutralize the acid.
At night, teeth should be brushed before going to bed. It is important because at this time of the day you produce the least amount of saliva. When the levels of saliva are reduced, bacteria can cause cavities.
Maybe you forget, but brushing tongue is important since it is the key to fresh breath. Tongue includes the most bacteria, which produce sulphur and makes breath smell bad.
You can clean tongue with your toothbrush or a tongue scraper.
Use an electric toothbrush
Electric toothbrushes clean teeth better than manual brushes. This is so because the electric brush does all the work for you.
Don’t forget to floss
You should floss every day, or every other day.
Studies have shown that flossing can prolong people’s lives, while people with gum disease have increases chances to suffer from coronary heart disease.
Gum disease causes dangerous bacteria to be released into the bloodstream.
Flossing disturbs the bacteria so they can’t grow and get hard.
