Heat Your Body From The Inside

According to Ayurveda, regular use of boiling hot water strengthens the immune system, gives you strength and energy. In our region, but also in the East, drinking hot water is normal. In Russia, Ukraine and similar countries “kipjatok” is constantly kept in a kettle and normally used instead of cold water.

In countries such as India, China, and Japan, hot water and other hot beverages are also common. It’s part of a tradition thousands of years old.

If people follow something and keep it for generations, we can assume that it’s useful for some reason.

Why Boil Water?

The purpose of boiling water is multifaceted. First and foremost, boiling destroys microorganisms and promotes deposition of chemical impurities from the water. If you boil ordinary tap water and let it simmer for 5 minutes, after cooling you can find sludge waste and harmful substances. So, the first result of boiling it is, getting the microbiological and chemical quality of water. The second purpose of boiling is more subtle, but equally important. Water is the solvent in numerous biochemical reactions that are constantly happening in our body. Water and fire are the foundations of chemistry, primarily biochemistry.

The Fire Called Agni

The common name for all metabolic processes in the body is pitta dosha. The literal translation of the word pitta is “acid”, as the word itself indicates digestion and biochemical processes. According to ayurveda, Pitta dosha is composed of fire and water.

A special part of this principle is Agni, which translated from Sanskrit means fire. It represents the fire of the digestive system and is responsible for the digestion of all that man eat, drink, smell, hear, see, touch… Agni transforms everything that comes to mind and body.

Boiling Introduces Agni To Water

When we drink water, uncooked, our inner Agni must digest bacteria, parasites, spores and molds that the water contains. If the Agni is weak, there is a disease present. That’s why many Westerners get dysentery as soon as they arrive in India. On the other hand, if the external Agni destroys these unwanted substances, the disease doesn’t occur. Now it’s clear why the water (and food) should be boiled.

Regular use of boiled water strengthens the immune system, gives you strength and energy. This is especially important for people who are already sick.

When Does Boiled Water Help?

In general, it can be said that all diseases are due to the accumulation of body toxins. When the Agni is strong, useful components of food are absorbed and involved in normal tissue development and the useless ones are eliminated through bowel and urine. However, when the Agni is week, part of the food is absorbed, or is ejected. It’s left to rot in the intestines and creates a sticky substance odor, called ama. The accumulation of ama in different parts of the body lies in the basis of each disease.

This is why Ayurveda recommends using hot, boiled water for various diseases. This can be best seen in the case of elevated temperature. In emergencies, when the high temperature is a result of a cold or the flu, Ayurveda prescribes water, prepared in the relation half and half. So, boil a liter of water, until half a liter remains, and put it in a thermos. Drinking one or two sips, every half hour, is enough to beat the fever.

Of course, the water mustn’t be too hot, it can burn your tongue. Regular use of boiled water, is recommended for all persistent and chronic diseases such as asthma, arthritis, colitis, migraine, sinusitis, angina and other heart disorders, cellulite, obesity and others.

Deep Treatment Recipe

Suffering from chronic fever, means that the ama is located deep in the tissue of the left root. For this, there is a famous ayurvedic recipe – shadanpagania. Boil water, until two-fifths of the total initial amount are remaining.

While boiling a liter of water, reduce it to 0.4 liters and give to the patient to drink. During this therapy, the patient mustn’t ingest anything other than water, and the treatment may last for up to three days, depending on the strength of the patient and the disease.

Such a treatment should be implemented only under medical supervision.

Strong Agni – A Healthy Person

Agni is the basis of the autoimmune system and devours all the harmful substances that are stored in our bodies, be they microorganisms, toxins, bodily waste, emotions, and other climatic factors. Those with strong Agni, will fight any disease easier. On the other hand, weak Agni leads to accumulation of harmful substances in the body and then to many acute and chronic diseases. Ignite your Agni and make you long life and get the optimum health.
